A man found shot shortly after midnight Saturday near Lowry Avenue and 4th Street NE died a short while later at Hennepin County Medical Center, police said.
A police spokesman said that a potential suspect was seen running with a gun east on Lowry Avenue. An extensive search followed, but the suspect is still at large.
The identity of the victim will be released later by the Medical Examiner's office. The fatal shooting was the second homicide in Minneapolis this year.
