A St. Paul man found shot shortly after midnight Saturday near Lowry Avenue and NE. 4th Street died a short while later at Hennepin County Medical Center, police said.
Robert Montaine Urman Sr., 36, of St. Paul, suffered several gunshot wounds and became Minneapolis' second homicide this year.
A Minneapolis police spokesman said that a potential suspect was seen running with a gun east on Lowry Avenue. An extensive search followed, but the suspect was still at large.
Police have asked anyone with information about the case to text 847 411, enter MPD and the tip, or call 612-692-TIPS (8477).
