Yard sale will benefit school in Ecuador

The International School of Minnesota (ISM) will holding its annual yard sale May 31 to raise money for its Student Life Organization's "Free the Children" service project.

The goal of this campaign is to raise $10,000 to help fund a new school building in Quito, Ecuador. ISM families and staffers will visit Ecuador in July to help build the school.

The yard sale will be the final event for the year slated to fund the Free the Children project.

Blessed Trinity to hold 8th annual Fiesta Latina

Blessed Trinity will hold its eighth annual Fiesta Latina from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at the Church of the Assumption, 305 E. 77th St.

The event will feature music, entertainment, games, 50/50 cash raffle, prize raffles and homemade food. There is no admission charge.

Enrollment is open for fall parent-kid classes

Enrollment is open for parent-child classes for newborns to 5-year-olds for fall 2014 programs at Wayzata Public Schools' Family Learning Center.

The classes provide parent education and support, licensed teachers and children's play-and-learn curriculum and are available days and evenings. All caregivers and their children are welcome to sign up, including single parents, couples, individual parents, grandparents, child-care providers and nannies. No family will be turned away because of inability to pay.
