Old-timey activities including butter churning, corn grinding and egg picking are coming to Holz Farm in Eagan next Sunday during the Spring Festival at the early-20th-century farmstead.

The free event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 at the farm, which is owned by the city and maintained as a historical attraction. The farmstead was settled in the 1870s and operated by the Holz family until 1993. It’s located at 4665 Manor Drive, now surrounded by a residential neighborhood.

Other activities will include a performance by the Eagan Men’s Chorus at 1 p.m., a pie-eating contest at 3 p.m., blacksmith and gardening demonstrations, vintage equipment displays, and kids’ activities such as pony rides, hayrides and rope making. Some activities require the purchase of a 50 cent ticket. Concessions will also be available in exchange for tickets.
