The death toll is now two from a crash in Andover involving a driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, according to authorities.

Richard J. Lindeen, of Andover, is the second person to have died as a result of injuries suffered in a collision on Nov. 2, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said. Earlier, his wife of 51 years, Ann C. Lindeen, died.

The crash occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on County Road 7 near 149th Avenue NW., the Sheriff's Office said.

A pickup truck driven by Jeremy A. Miller, 26, of St. Francis, was heading north on 7th when it crossed the centerline and struck the Lindeens' van head-on, according to the Sheriff's Office.

"Alcohol use on the part of [Miller] may play a factor in the crash," a statement from the Sheriff's Office read.

Miller was taken from the scene and hospitalized with noncritical injuries. No charges have been filed as investigators continue to collect evidence.

Ann Lindeen, 73, died the day of the crash. Richard Lindeen, 71, who was driving the van at the time of the collision, died eight days later.

A funeral home notice for the Lindeens described them as "inseparable. Their greatest love was for each other, their kids, granddaughters and family."
