Animal complaint. A 33-year-old woman was cited for violating the dangerous dog ordinance on the 40 block of East Road. The dog was seized on Aug. 5 after the ordinance was violated again.

AUG. 7

Burglary. Someone broke into the concession stand and stole $300 on the 50 block of West Golden Lake Road.

Dumping complaint. A man who had dumped pine needles from a storm in a roadside ditch in the area of Falcon Avenue and 124th Street told authorities he was unaware it was against the law.

AUG. 2

Theft. A live trap was stolen from the yard of a home on the 8700 block of Griggs Avenue.

AUG. 7

Property damage. Bird houses were damaged on the 8900 block of North Highway Drive.

MAHTOMEDI

AUG. 5

Medical. A deputy helped remove a 6-foot snake that was wrapped around a 17-year-old female's arm on the Century College campus, 3300 Century Av. Mahtomedi Fire Department administered first aid to the female who had been bitten.

AUG. 5

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 14000 block of 130th Street reported a drone following him in his yard. He asked if he could shoot it down and was told he cannot.

JULY 29

Vehicle theft. A male suspect stole a vehicle in the 5100 block of Longview Drive and then left it several houses away to flee on foot from officers responding to the call.

JULY 30

Property damage. Someone threw a potato at a vehicle in the 2200 block of Oakwood Drive damaging a window, mirror and fender.

NEW BRIGHTON

JULY 29

Theft. A lighted sign worth $4,500 was removed from a parking lot in the 400 block of Long Lake Road.

ST. ANTHONY

AUG. 8

Robbery. Officers responded to U.S. Bank, 3928 Silver Lake Rd., regarding an armed robbery. The teller told officers the suspect handed her a note demanding money and threatening to shoot if she did not comply. The suspect fled with a large amount of money.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

AUG. 4

Suspicious situation. A man responding to a Craigslist ad for a free fountain was reported at 1 a.m. in the 1900 block of Quant Avenue. The man called the address and was told it was too late. He later texted that he was on the property looking for the fountain. He left by the time a deputy arrived.

WOODBURY

JULY 29

Suspicious activity. A white pickup was reported driving slowly down the street and in and out of driveways in the area of Garbe Avenue and Upper Afton Road. An officer contacted the driver who explained he was looking for his lost dog.

AUG. 2

Neighbor complaint. A resident in the area of Parkside Drive and Hudson Road put toys in the road hoping to slow traffic. The resident said there had been a dramatic increase in speeding due to the closing of a nearby road. The toys were removed because they obstructed traffic.
