A man's naked body was found on a golf course near his home in northwestern Minnesota, and authorities say they believe he died from exposure.

Polk County law enforcement personnel were called to the Sandhill River Golf Course in Fertile about 4:10 p.m. Monday and found the body of Andrew J. Springer, 35, the Sheriff's Office said.

"The preliminary autopsy results do not show any signs of foul pay," the Sheriff's Office said, "and at this time it appears as if the victim died as a result of hypothermia." His body was sent to Grand Forks for a full autopsy.

Brian Lundeen of the Sheriff's Office said Springer recently moved to Fertile, about 30 miles southeast of Crookston, from Washington state and lived less than two blocks from the course's eastern edge.
