What's open and closed on Veterans Day

Post offices: Closed.

Banks: TCF in-store and traditional branches will be open normal hours. Wells Fargo in-store and traditional branches will be closed. U.S. Bank branches in Byerly's stores will be open normal hours, and traditional branches will be closed.

Groceries: Major supermarkets will be open.

Malls: Most will be open.

Mass transit: Metro Transit buses and light-rail trains will follow regular schedules. For route information, call 612-373-3333 or go to www.metrotransit.org. Minnesota Valley Transit Authority will follow regular schedules. Maple Grove Transit, Plymouth Metrolink and Southwest Metro Transit will follow regular schedules. Call Metro Mobility for service.

Parking meters: Won't be enforced in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The University of Minnesota will enforce meters. Minneapolis parks will enforce meters unless noted on the meter.

Schools: Many public schools and the University of Minnesota will be open.

Public agencies: Local, state and federal offices are closed.

Libraries: Generally closed. Call for hours.
