Who would have thought even sippy cups could be dangerous?

More than a quarter-million of them are being recalled by Minneapolis-based Target after several children were injured using them, federal officials announced.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said Thursday that the straight ear on the plastic Target Home Bunny Sippy Cup can poke children in the eye while they are drinking, and that cuts and bruises to at least six children have been reported.

The recall covers 264,000 cups sold for $3 at Target stores nationwide from February to early April, the CPSC said.

The Chinese-made cups have handles on both sides and come in blue and pink designs. The screw-on lid has two bunny ears, one bent and one straight.

The CPSC said anyone with one of the cups should return it to Target for a full refund.
