Three’s company We’re still in the Hollywood rounds on “American Idol,” but it’s not too early to declare a winner: the new judges’ panel. The tension-free trio appears to be having a grand time while offering some of the soundest advice the show has ever had. Kudos to Harry Connick Jr., who proves it’s possible to be both tough and tender. 7 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9

Color blind Most networks aren’t showing much fresh material against the Olympics, so here’s your chance to revisit some classic television. Start with the 2003 episode of “Chappelle’s Show” in which Dave Chappelle plays a blind white supremacist unaware of the color of his own skin. It remains one of the funniest sketches of all time. 7 p.m., Comedy Central

Branching out Last year’s “42,” which chronicles a ground-breaking chapter in the life of Jackie Robinson, didn’t get Harrison Ford an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey, but he did prove he doesn’t need to wield a gun to give a memorable performance. 8 p.m., HBO Neal Justin
