Good golly, Miss Molly

“Mike & Molly” (8 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4), which returns for Season 4 with Molly leaving her job as a teacher, isn’t a terrible series, but it does seem like a waste of Melissa McCarthy, a great talent who should be working on a “Bridesmaids” spinoff, not just another by-the-books sitcom.

Party people

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Vanderpump Rules” (8 p.m., Bravo) team up for a two-hour crossover event in which Lisa Vanderpump caters a posh party for the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce — and you all know how those crazy kids like to party.

Gone fishin’

“All Is Lost” isn’t the first time Robert Redford has had to navigate tricky waters. He directed 1992’s “A River Runs Through It” (9:30 p.m., Ovation), a thoughtful adaptation of Norman Maclean’s book about fathers, sons and fly fishing that really locked in Brad Pitt’s status as a sex symbol.
