There was another scary moment on a Twin Cities stage this weekend. Actor David McMenomy fainted during the second act of "Our Class" at Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company on Saturday night. Because so many characters die in the drama about a tragic incident in a Polish town during World War II, the audience was not initially aware that something was amiss. Finally, another actor announced that this was not part of the show, and could someone call 911?

Fortunately, there was a doctor in the house — a couple of them. McMenomy regained consciousness and declined treatment when EMTs arrived. However, he later stopped at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and was diagnosed with low blood sugar, said Barbara Brooks, MJTC’s artistic director.

"He was back for Sunday’s show," said Brooks.

In September, actor Warren Bowles suffered a cardiac arrest on opening night of "Neighbors" at Mixed Blood. Bowles spent several days in ICU at Hennepin County Medical Center, but recovered well enough that he attended the Vikings-Packers game two weeks ago.

"Our Class" continues through Nov. 20 at MJTC.
