With the departure of Consul General Nathan Wolf, the job of leading the Mexican consulate in St. Paul falls on an interim basis to Deputy Consul Ricardo F. Hernandez Lecanda, who like Wolf has been at the consulate since its 2005 opening. He assumes the role of consul in charge (consul encargado) until the Mexican government's secretary of foreign affairs appoints Wolf's permanent successor, a consulate spokesperson said.
