The Empire strikes back

"Game of Thrones" fans will probably have a bloody good time with "Britannia," an R-rated history lesson on the Roman Empire's attempt to conquer warriors and Druids in 43 A.D. There are no fire-breathing dragons, unless you count the always reliable David Morrissey, whose audition for the next James Bond villain continues with his role as the merciless Aulus Plautius.

I'm just a Bill

If you run into New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick during Super Bowl weekend, don't be surprised if he greets you with a scowl. He learned from the best. "The Two Bills," a new addition to the "30 for 30" family, reunites Belichick with mentor Bill Parcells for an uncomfortable meeting of the minds. Neither really displays a soft side, but enough sympathy is established that you might think twice before responding to a grumpy Belichick with a snowball.

Class act

The students in "A.P. Bio" get the shaft when they're assigned Glenn Howerton ("Always Sunny in Philadelphia") as their new teacher. Their loss is our gain. I can't remember the last time a network sitcom mined so many A-worthy laughs out of a high school setting. Give credit to co-creators Seth Meyers and Lorne Michaels, as well as Patton Oswalt, who makes the usually thankless role of exasperated principal come alive. If NBC is serious about re-establishing its must-see Thursday comedy lineup, this is a step in the right direction.
