Off the wall

Emma Watson will have two movies in theaters this weekend ("Beauty and the Beast" and "The Circle") but proof that she was a marquee name came years ago. No, I'm not talking about the "Harry Potter" franchise, although she's lovely in each and every one of those films. For my money, she truly graduated into the big leagues with 2012's "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" with a performance that should have earned her an Oscar nomination. See for yourself.

To live and die in L.A.

The lead character in "Bosch" may not be the most intimidating, witty or lovable detective on the beat, but he may be the most authentic. The latest case is a bit confusing, but Welliver keeps you in the game with one of TV's best poker faces.

Trump card

Just about every late-night show has a Donald Trump impersonator on the payroll, so it'll be interesting to see if there's room in this crowded landscape for "The President Show," with Anthony Atamanuik doing the honors. Comedy Central applied a similar approach in 2001 with "That's My Bush!," which only lasted eight episodes.
