Here's a good example of why Super Bowl week probably drives head coaches crazy: On Monday, opening night media availability at Xcel Energy Center stretched until 10 p.m. for the Eagles. And on Tuesday, players are doing a ton of events, including an Xbox Live Session Super Bowl preview featuring Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski vs. Eagles running back LeGarrette Blount in "Madden NFL 18" at the Mall of America Microsoft store. "Postgame" interviews are slated to go until 9 p.m. Neither of those are extraordinarily long nights, but the level of distraction is off the charts compared with the regular season.

Falcons fans, you might want to skip to the next item. One of the NFL's all-time great games, last year's Super Bowl, is being replayed on NFL Network at 7 p.m. In case you forgot, the Patriots trailed 28-3 at one point. I won't spoil the end in case you missed it.

"I always explain the times of the year like this:

June — August: I love summer in Minnesota!

September- October: I love fall in Minnesota! November-December: I love the holidays in Minnesota! January-March: I hate this wretched state, I'm going to move! April-May: I love spring in Minnesota! Then rinse and repeat. Every.year."
