Only light rain and snow showers are anticipated today in northern Californiaand Oregon as well as in the northern Rockies. The culprit is a weak storm thathas been spinning off the coast of the Pacific Northwest. At most, 1-3 inches of snow will fall over the mountains of the region at passlevel.

Later in the week, bigger storms will start to roll into the region and couldcause trouble southward through the Los Angeles Basin.
