The Minotaur or: Amelia Earhart Is Alive and Traveling Through the Underworld

Three-year-old Sheep Theater, which creates its own fantastical works, is emerging as a standout in the Fringe-y small-theater scene. The company has produced more than a dozen shows in its short life, some following broad themes. This year, the shows are about galaxies, radioactivity and the underworld. "Minotaur" falls into the last category. After crashing her plane, famous flier Amelia Earhart (Iris Rose Page) and her companion Snook venture through the underworld in order to get home. Their presence unleashes a creature that's been sleeping for thousands of years. (7:30 p.m. Thu.-Sat., 2 p.m. Sun. Ends June 23. In the Heart of the Beast Theatre, 1500 E. Lake St., Mpls. $15-$30. ameliaearhart.brownpapertickets.com.)
