Kenneth Brown has joined the cadre of designers who pitch for QVC, introducing a line of bedding for the online retailer.
Brown, of HGTV's "reDesign" and "Over Designed" on TLC, has launched an 11-item bedding line including throw pillows, comforters, sheets, duvet covers, throws and floorcoverings in coordinating teal, plum, gold, olive, green, browns, pearl and russet. Prices range from $40 for a satin-look bedskirt to $264 for a 6- by 9-foot wool pile rug. The e-tailer said Brown's line will expand in September to include lamps, small side tables and similar pieces. See www.qvc.com, 1-800-345-1515.
As a tribute to the late John Updike, Architectural Digest said it will feature four of the author's articles for the magazine on its site, at www .architecturaldigest.com/homes/features/2009/03/john_updike.The pieces by Updike, whom AD characterized as a frequent "guest speaker," are a series of articles recalling towns and homes in which he lived.
Great Estate Home & Garden has changed its name to Historic Interiors Group. The Minnetonka business, which has been operating as a home store and interior design firm, said the new name better reflects its business, which is not estate sale-related. Recent furniture additions to the showroom at 10001 Minnetonka Blvd. include lines by Gus Design and Dino Mark Anthony and decorative accessories from a woodcarver north of Beijing.
