Schmitt, Tammy Lynn age 45 of Minneapolis, passed away on June 2, 2015, surrounded by family. Tammy Lynn's passions included cooking, fashion, radio, and music. Her flare for life and unique personality will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Tammy Lynn grew up in Brooklyn Park. She was captain of the danceline in high school, graduating from Big Lake High School in 1988 with honors. Tammy Lynn earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from Augsburg College graduating magna cum laude. She also studied abroad at the Univer-sity of Paris. Tammy Lynn attended the Brown Institute for Radio Broadcasting, and worked at WCCO radio for several years. Survived by her parents, Joseph Schmitt and Dixie Lund; stepfather, Ronald Lund; siblings, Joey Larson and Corey Schmitt; step-siblings, Renee Johnson, Leann Terwedo, Ryan Lund; nephews, Dalton and Elijah Larson, and Elliott Schmitt. Preceded by grandparents, John and Frances Schmitt, Art and Phyllis Furst; uncles, Virgil Ronsberg and James Furst; and cousin, Debbie Mackrell. Visitation 4-7 PM Wed. June 10 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. at Vicksburg Lane. Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon Thurs. with visitation 1 hour prior at the Basilica of Saint Mary, 88 N. 17th St. Luncheon to follow. Interment Lakewood Cemetery, Mpls.
