Berglund David W. Berglund of Bloomington, MN passed away Aug. 15, 2005. Preceded in death by parents, Leonard & Marie (Wieseke) Berglund. Survived by wife, Muriel; children, Gail Berglund of Bonita springs, FL, Katharine (John) Laymon of Rochester, MN, and Chris (Lynnea) of Eden Prairie; granddaughter, Kelsey and Melissa Soderquist; grandsons, Christopher and Caleb Laymon; brother, Paul (Marcy) of Fargo, ND; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sterling and Jan Nelson of Rogers, AK; and several nieces and nephews. David graduated from Washburn High School in 1953 and from the U of M in 1958 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a 30-year employee of Control Data Corp., retiring as a program manager. He was a retired Colonel (USAR) with 30 years of service and a former Commander of the 56th MMC at Fort Snelling. Funeral service Wednesday, 12 noon, St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1701 W. Old Shakopee Rd. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 5-8 PM, Gill Brothers Bloomington chapel, 9947 Lyndale Ave S and 1/2 hour prior to service at church.
