Johnson Mildred M. Swayze Johnson passed away July 4, 2005 at Northridge Care Center in New Hope, MN at age 95. Her husband, Irvin H. Johnson and four siblings preceded her in death. Born in Mellette, SD, she was a proud daughter of South Dakota even though she had lived in Minnesota at two different times and moved to Sun City, AZ following the death of her husband in 1985. She loved to play bridge, do card tricks, play the piano as she said, "for her own amazement". If there was a piano and a gathering of friends and family she could easily accommodate requests if someone could hum a few bars. Mildred treasured her lifelong friendships and kept in close touch with family and friends with the help of her well worn birthday and address books. Grateful for having shared her life are her sister, Janette Williams, Sun City, AZ; daughters, Sharon (William) Frank of Wayzata, MN and Lynn (David) Paulson of South Pasadena, CA; grandchildren, Steve (Ellen) Frank, Greg (Kris) Frank, Eric (Shari Sterling) Frank, Marsha Paulson Wipperman, and John (Elizabeth) Paulson; great-grandchildren, Elsye & William Frank, Erin, Bryan and Lauren Frank, Sierra, Selena & Evan Sterling, Wyatt Wipperman and Matthew Paulson. Memorial Service 2:00 pm Thursday at Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd. Interment Howard, SD. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church, Howard, SD 57349 or to donor's choice. David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577
