Forsyth Ann O'Neill Forsyth (Christensen) Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother. Ann Forsyth of Excelsior and St. Paul, formerly of Grand Marais and Duluth, MN and Palos Verdes Estates, CA. and who founded the Crocus Hill charitable program for marriage renewal in Minnetonka, died peacefully May 5, 2005 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Free Cancer Home in St. Paul, she was 78. She used her faith to improve the lives of those she touched. Crocus Hill, the non-profit foundation and center that she founded in 1977 and operated for ten years, brought spiritual, emotional and material assistance and support to those who, like herself, struggled with a troubled marriage. A native of New York, she spent most of her life in southern California and, later, Excelsior raising her six daughters and two sons as a single parent. She is survived by her eight children, Robert Christensen of Olympia, WA., Joan Johnson of Shorewood, Elizabeth Farrell of Seattle, WA., Father Peter Christensen of St. Paul, Mary Hanson of Bellevue, WA, Colleen Christensen of Seattle, WA, Patricia Henjum of Long Lake and Michelle Hedlund of Minnetonka; in addition to 27 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Harmon of Hampstead, New Brunswick, Canada, Mary Elizabeth Reville of Rye, NY and Volney Dawson of Willowbrook, IL. Mass of Christian Burial 7:30 PM Tuesday at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 324 S. Prior Ave. at Stanford. Visitation 6:00 PM until the time of service at church Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Lady of Good Counsel Free Cancer Home, 2076 St. Anthony Ave. St. Paul, MN 55104 or to Nativity School Scholarship Fund.
