Strom, Dale L. 71, of Venice, FL, previously of Lakeville and Bloomington, passed away on October 24th. Dale was a '61 grad of Richfield High School and Augsburg College in '66. He was employed by the Richfield School District as a Social Studies teacher from 1967 - 1991 and was the Assistant Principal at RHS from 1992 - 2000 when he retired. He coached baseball and soccer for 20+ years and was instrumental in forming the annual trip to Washington DC for 10th graders. Dale put his heart into all he did as a teacher and administrator and truly made a difference in the lives of countless students and athletes throughout his career. He made a difference in everyone's lives that he touched. He was a devoted husband, kind and involved father, loving brother and a great friend to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. He was one of a kind. Dale is survived by his wife, Junetth Lettner, his children, Jenna Eckholm (Brian), Marco Strom, grandchildren, Jacey and Mason Eckholm, brothers, Richard (Elayne) Strom, Dennis (Marcia) Strom, step-sons, Todd (Amanda) Lettner and Jarett (Nicky) Lettner, and numerous family, friends and colleagues. Dale is preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart, Ellen Strom, and his parents, Clarence and Myrtle Strom. Service is Saturday, Nov. 22nd at 2:00 at Woodlake Lutheran Church, Richfield, MN. Visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to Richfield High School.
