Kleidon, Rev. Kenneth Lloyd age 75 of Longwood, FL passed away on Aug 20, 2014. Born in Highland, MI, Rev. Kleidon served 50 years in the Presbyterian church. He served as Sr Pastor, Forreston Grove Presbyterian (Forreston, IL), Assoc Pastor, Westminster Presbyterian Church (Rockford, IL), Sr Pastor, Maple Heights Presbyterian Church (Maple Heights, OH), Sr Pastor and Pastor Emeritus, Knox Presbyterian Church (Mpls, MN), Pulpit Supply Minister, Twin Cities Presbyterian (Mpls, MN), and Parish Assoc, Wekiva Presbyterian Church (Longwood, FL). He attended Wheaton College (BA in Bible), and Princeton Theological Seminary (M Div and Pastoral Counseling). Rev. Kleidon worked with pastors to establish CVOM dedicated to building mission service in the horn of Africa, served as rep on the Nat'l Board of Missions for a time as well as two terms on the Nat'l Board of Directors for PFR, organized 3 area Presbyterian churches to sponsor and support a Ukrainian family of 17, led a partnership to send a team to Russia for a 10 day evangelistic crusade with trained pastor remaining behind to establish a church for the newly reached, awarded a trip to the Holy Land by a local chapter of the Masons, considered a highlight of all his travels as he walked in the places where Christ had walked, and continued to minister according to his ability throughout his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Mildred (Knapp) Kleidon and his brother Lee Kleidon. Survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia Ann LaBorde Kleidon of Longwood, FL and Lake Crystal, MN, daughters Cheri Darling (Rick) of Marana, AZ, Kathy Mellowe (Greg) of Orlando, FL, and Karen DeNicola (Dylan) of Altamonte Springs, FL, 4 grandchildren and a sister, Carolyn Breidenbaugh. Memorial Service on Wed, Aug 27, 2014 at 1:00pm at Wekiva Presbyterian Church, 211 Wekiva Springs Ln, Longwood, FL 32779. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church, Mpls, MN missions program or Wekiva Presbyterian Church, Longwood, FL missions program.
