Frances Elizabeth Bjorklund

Bjorklund, Frances Elizabeth 90 years and 10 months, passed away on July 25, 2014 in St. Paul, MN. She was born on September 21, 1923, near Wadena, MN to Floyd and Allelia (Corderman) Nielson. She graduated with the class of 1941 from Nevis, MN High School. She graduated Bemidji State Teachers College in 1944, and taught in several Minnesota school systems, and in Portland, OR. In 1955, Frances married her husband of nearly 50 years, Clarence Bjorklund. They lived in Duluth, MN and Superior, WI until she moved to Eagan, MN in 2008. After retiring from teaching she became an accomplished seamstress with many clients. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in January 2005 and brother, Donald Nielson, in 2000. She is survived by her son, Donald (Laurie) of Eagan, MN; sister's in-law, Carol Nielson of Commerce, GA, Margaret Bjorklund of Hermantown, MN; a brother in-law, Howard Bjorklund, of Moor- head, MN and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 7815 Tower Ave., Superior, WI 54880 on Sat., August 2 at 1 PM. Visitation 1 hour prior. Private interment at Sunrise Memorial Park in Hermantown, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor's choice or local animal shelter.
