He entered the Jesuit order in 1992 and was ordained in 2001. Pat served as chaplain to the workers at ground zero immediately after the 911 tragedy. From 2001 to 2006, he was a pastor at St. Luke's Parish, as well as campus minister at Macalester College. From 2006 to 2009, Pat was chaplain at the ILAC Mission near Santiago, in the Dominican Republic. Upon returning, Pat served at St. John's parish in Omaha, and was appointed pastor in 2012. Preceded in death by parents Elizabeth and Richard Malone and brother Tom. A memorial service in Minnesota will be held Saturday, August 2 at St. Joseph's Church in West St. Paul, 11:00 a.m. with visitation an hour before.
