Livgard, Chester Age 99, of East Bethel, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2017 at his home. Chester proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, in the 96th Infantry Division Deadeye during WWII. He owned and operated farms for many years while also working with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local # 49. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, and six siblings. Survived by his daughter, Bonnie Harvey; son, Daniel (Renee) Johnson; grandsons, Samuel (Shannon) Harvey and Jeremy Johnson; granddaughter, Kristie; many great grandchildren; sister, Ella Winter; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and dearest friend, Bob Winterfeld. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be held one half hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 2250 St Anthony Blvd. NE, Minneapolis.
