Longshore, Diane Betty (VanderHout) age 76, of Eden Prairie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. She was born on September 1, 1941 to Harry and Ruth (Miller) VanderHout in Milwaukee, WI. She attended Nicollet High School, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and graduated from Prospect Hall Business School. She married Donald Longshore on August 24, 1963. They had two daughters, Debbie Benoit and Daun Longshore. Diane and Don recently celebrated 54 years of marriage. Diane was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved holidays, baking and traveling, including memorable family vacations to Cape Cod, Hawaii, and California, as well as winters in Florida. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and created traditions and memories that her family will cherish forever. She was thoughtful, kind, humble, and very generous. Diane is survived by her husband Donald of Eden Prairie, MN; daughter Debbie Benoit and son-in-law Jeff Benoit of Dublin, CA; daughter Daun Long- shore and son-in-law Chris Tabone of Chicago, IL; and grandchildren Caitlin Benoit and Andrew Benoit. She is also survived by a sister, JoAnn VanderHout, brother, James VanderHout, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial service 11 AM Friday (12/8) at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie, with visitation starting at 10 AM. Interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Milwaukee, WI.
