Jean Elizabeth (Turgeon) McCampbell

McCampbell, Jean Elizabeth Turgeon 92 years, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on September 16th, 2017. Jean was born in Minneapolis on March 4th, 1925. She graduated from Holy Angels Academy and went on to earn a BS in Social Work, from University of Minnesota. Jean was married to Richard E. McCampbell on September 17th, 1949. Jean was a Social Worker for Catholic Charities and Hennepin County for a combined 42 years. She enjoyed opera, symphony and baseball with her husband but most of all, Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and dear life-long friends. Jean is survived by her children: Mary (Jack), David (Laurie), Richard (Veronica), Martha, Julie (Tim) and Sheila (Ed), 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her son, Robert. The Visitation will be on October 13th at 9 am, followed directly by the Funeral Mass at 10 am, both at Good Shepherd Parish, 145 Jersey Avenue So, Golden Valley, MN. A lunch at Good Shepherd will follow immediately after Mass. Private burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family.
