Hanson, Jack Marlyn 76, of Coon Rapids, MN passed away on April 25, 2017 in Newcastle, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents Arley and Adah Hanson; and brothers Raymond and Laverne. He is survived by his bride and best friend of 51 years, Nita; daughter Lynette (Mark) Lloyd; son Darren (Gina Schultz); brothers Milton, Richard, Derald (Toni), Russell, and W. Doug (Connie); sisters Pauline Wodtke, Gwen (Paul) Hanson and twin sister Judy Kranitz; five grandchildren; two great-grand children; as well as many other relatives and friends. Jack loved the outdoors. He took this passion along with his artistic ability to create Jack's Taxidermy, which he ran for over 50 years. The past 15 years his son Darren worked with him until recently taking over the business. Through Jack's Taxidermy his legacy will live on. Jack lived life to the fullest enjoying each moment. He hunted or fished in many of the contiguous United States, Alaska, Canada, and Africa. Jack participated in taxidermy competitions winning countless awards, played softball, bowled, shot trap, and played pool. Please join us to celebrate Jack's life on Friday, June 16th at 4pm at the Coon Rapids VFW Post 9625. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with Jack's unanticipated medical expenses.
