Platteter, Dennis L. (Denny) age 71 of Independence. Passed away Nov. 16. Preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Geraldine, and many of his loved pets. Survived by his loving daughter, Danielle; former spouse, Ursula (Tim) Leland; significant other, Bambi Barben; sister, Barb (Barry) Truman; many loving relatives and friends. Denny left unexpectedly, far too soon & will be greatly missed by many who treasured his friendship. He leaves behind a void once filled with his great sense of humor, quick wit, ability to have fun over simple tasks or problems was his great joy along with his kind compassion for others & his loved animals. It was an honor for all of us to have him in our lives, to see how he excelled at anything he did, a joy how he could make us laugh at our own troubles & to see how much he loved his daughter. We love you Denny (Dad) & will strive to live our lives in the memory of yours until we meet again in Heaven. Celebration of Life 10:00 AM Wed., Nov 23, with visitation 1 hour prior to service, all at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd. Wayzata.
