Grones, Carla Louise age 51, passed away suddenly on August 24, 2016 at her home in Brooklyn Park, MN. She is survived by her husband John L. Grones; her daughter Christine Sargent, partner Matthew Brady and grandson Caiden Brady, Vadnais Heights, MN; daughter Shawna Craven and partner Ryan Williamson, Isanti, MN; parents David and Janet Kennedy, Palm Springs, CA; brother Colin Kennedy and partner Christine Jinga, Robertsville, MO and sister Melissa Kennedy and wife Katherine McKinley, San Francisco, CA. Carla (Kennedy) Grones was born on September 29, 1964 in Ames, IA, where she spent her early childhood years. The family later lived in Philadelphia, PA and St. Louis, MO where Carla attended high school and later Barnes College, receiving the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1989. Carla's daughters were born in St Louis, but in 1996 the family moved to the Twin Cities. It was here that she met husband John Grones, the true love of her life. Carla was a loving and much loved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister with a generous heart, an inquiring mind and a great love of nature. She will be sorely missed, but never forgotten by her saddened family, her friends - especially those at Waterford Manor - and her dear cat companions Lil' Bit and Koontsy. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the World Wildlife Fund.
