Nay, Caryl age 73, of Richfield, Minnesota passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday, August 12, 2016 after battling Breast Cancer. Caryl was born October 30, 1942 in Sewickley, PA, the daughter of the late Carl and Becky Driesch. Caryl was a Class of 1960 graduate of Washburn High School in Minneapolis, MN where she made several lifelong friends. She had many jobs over the years, but her passion and focus was as a homemaker to care for her family (and friends). She was married in 1965 to the father of her children, and was later divorced. The focus of Caryl's life were the people that were in it. She had a quiet generosity with the people that she knew; including those that she just met. If she was going to an event, you could be sure that she would bring food; probably too much food. There were also the numerous (and often eclectic) Christmas and birthday gifts for all. Nearly everyone that knew Caryl has at least one crocheted hat, ear brassiere, or scarf in their closet. She was also a master hostess, even while she was struggling with her health. Caryl was always looking her best; her clothing choices were always well thought out, and the makeup must always be just so. Caryl was very giving, loving, caring and always put a smile on everyone's face. She was the light in any room. Caryl is survived by Children, Cynthia (Chad) Keppers of Elko, MN, Richard (Becky) Nay of Shorewood, MN; Grandchildren Saharra and Steele Keppers; Siblings Bob (Betty) Driesch of Ocala, FL, Becca Driesch of Richfield, MN, DeDe Welin of Savage, MN; Nieces and Nephews Eric, Brent, Bobby, Patty, Pam, Alan, Marilee and Wesley. Viewing and visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Washburn McReavy Funeral Chapel on 2300 West Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington, Minnesota. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM, also at Washburn McReavy Funeral Chapel. Caryl's Cousin, Father David Driesch, will be officiating.
