Anderson, Wendy Beth Born June 15, 1953. Died June 18, 2016. Wendy was celebrating her 63rd birthday when she tragically drowned in a canoeing accident on the Root river. Born with a congenital heart defect, she never thought she would see the age of 30, let alone 63. She lived her life with an intense passion and curiosity. She was a gifted gardener and loved being in nature and bird watching. She had an almost photographic memory, and could tell you the names of birds and flowers in both English and Latin. She loved every dog and cat she ever met. She traveled extensively and loved to learn. Her body rebelled against her all her life with many health problems, but her big heart, incredible bravery, and courage always carried her through. She was married to the love of her life, Earl Hartranft for 28 years. She was a loyal and devoted sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Survived by husband, Earl Hartranft; sister, Bobbie Anderson (Jerry Tomberlin); brother, Jeffrey (Linda) Anderson; sister-in-law, Gayle Hartranft; nieces and nephews, Meredith (Benjamin) Myers-Petro, Mark Myers (Lindsey Pille), Chelsea Anderson (Daniel Lovera) and Christopher (Katie) Anderson. Services will be held at the Minnesota Cremation Society on 43rd and Nicollet, Friday, June 24, 2016. Visitation 2:00pm, Memorial service 3:00pm. Burial will be Monday, June 27, 2016 at Ft. Snelling Cemetery at 12:30pm. Memorials prefered to Animal Humane Society of Golden Valley. Rest in Peace Wendy
