Carter, Jason Robert November 22, 1987 May 12, 2016 Jason Robert Carter, age 28, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Jason was born on November 22, 1987 in St. Louis Park, MN. He was preceded in death by his paternal Grandfather, Arthur R. Carter and his maternal grand-parents, Eric K. Clarke, Jr., and Betty W. Clarke. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Diana Carter, his sister, Alison (Stephen) Brown, his nephew, Tobias Brown, his grandmom, Carolyn Carter and many cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends, and he was particularly close to his aunt, Anne Carter, his English brother Wayne Bellamy, and his Columbian sister, Sandra Jimenez. Jason was a graduate of Wayzata HS and attended Montana State, St. Cloud State, Metro State, and was ready to study bio-chemistry at the University of Minnesota. He was a kind and generous person, and his compassion showed in his unwavering support for others. This passion for others' well-being extended to his support of Mac Mac, an orphan in Central America. Jason was a man of many and varied interests who pursued them intensely. He would not just own vehicles; Jason would customize them. He wouldn't just be a hunter; he would be a gun collector and enjoy practice at two ranges. Jason was an avid outdoorsman who loved time at the family cabin. But perhaps his biggest love was of the Montana mountains where he could ski, hike, fish, and hunt. Jason had a great passion for everything he did. And so, his passion for living gave Jason the courage and the strength to carry-on for 4 1/4 years as he bravely fought leukemia. Jason successfully survived two bone marrow transplants and two clinical trials. We wish to thank the compassionate and talented nurses and doctors at the University of Minnesota, Memorial Sloane Kettering, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, who loved Jason and helped him along the way. Thank you to the many complementary practitioners who helped Jason to stay strong in body, mind and spirit throughout this journey, most especially to Sunny Ray, who was with Jason every step of the way. Memorials preferred to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Westminster Presbyterian Church. Visitation Friday, May 20, 5-7 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E Wayzata Blvd in Wayzata. Memorial service will be Saturday, May 21, 10:30 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Ave in Minneapolis. Interment will be in Hubbard, MN on June 4th, 2016.
