Wiggins, Rayma M. (Estes) An amazing, wonderful, strong woman passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011 exactly one month before her 84th birthday. Preceded in death by her husband, John C. Wiggins, Jr.; parents, Ray & Veoma Estes. Survived by her loving, devoted daughter, Gayna L. Wiggins; grandson, Myles Ray Estes who adored her and whom she adored; her brothers, Richard C. (April) Estes, Fred Estes; sister, Margie (Estes) Wright. Also, survived by many other nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and numerous friends. A woman of deep Christian faith, Rayma always chose to see the best in all people, her kind, loving and sincere spirit exemplified this throughout her life. Her dazzling smile gave warmth and acceptance to many. Rayma loved children and received her degree in Education from Pittsburgh State University and taught at Phyllis Wheatley School (Minneapolis) for many years until her retirement. In her earlier years, she sang and was sought out by many gospel choirs as a featured soloist, Wings Over Jordan was just one of many. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Prior to that, a dutiful member of Zion Baptist Church. She was a woman of grace, dignity, class and respect. She was the epitome of a true lady. "My dearest Mother, I know in my heart that you are at peace as you rest in the palm of His hand. You were such a gift to our family. I will always remember your smile and courage. I love you dearly and miss you so very much." Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 3355 N. 4th St., Mpls. Visitation 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
