Geidel, JoAlta Danner Celebrate the life of JoAlta Geidel, Excelsior, MN age 78, passed away on November 1, 2010. JoAlta, Concert Violinist, and teacher of numerous violin students in Minnesota, Idaho and Utah. Her professional career includes, Minnesota Opera Orchestra, Vocal Essence Orchestra, "JoAlta and Strings", Classical and Contemporary Music Ensembles, Carlton Celebrity Room and numerous Artist Recordings. Music Education: Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia PA, University of Idaho, Moscow Idaho and University of Utah, Logan Utah. JoAlta was greatly loved by many friends and family, John and Lorraine Bishop, parents (deceased), Roy Geidel, husband, Rosalie Storment, sister (Robert), Jack Bishop, brother. Mother of: Tirza Ericson, daughter (deceased), Therese House (Al), Curtis Bradley Danner (deceased). Stepmother of: Laura Thomas (Richard) and Christine Steinert (Robert. Grandmother of: Bryce Ericson, Nate Ericson and Ryan House. Step-grandmother of: Sophie Thomas, Carys Thomas, Steven Steinert and Stephanie Steinert. Nieces, Shanette Gaines (Reggie) and Nephew, Jordan Bishop. JoAlta was a member of: Plymouth Congregational Church, P.E.O. Chapter E, Thursday Musical, Friday Club and Twin Cities Musicians Union. The memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, November 6th, 2010, 1:00 PM, Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis, MN 612-871-7400.
