Larson, Peggy Eileen 62, of Minneapolis, died on December 28th, 2015. Born March 19th, 1953 in Minneapolis, Peggy was the daughter of Bill and Marnie Lind. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by daughters, Marnie (Rich) Henke and Andrea Larson (Blake Berquist); grandson, Lucas Henke; loving partner, David Larson; sisters, Sue (Tim) Lind-Kanne and Lucy (Kevin) Hogan; nephews, Paul (Sabine) Hogan and John Hogan, and many dear friends. Peggy graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1971, and from the University of Minnesota, magna cum laude, in 1975, with a B.S. in Education. Peggy worked in a variety of positions in education and spent much of her time volunteering. Driven by her commitment to improve her community, Peggy not only volunteered for, but frequently led, many volunteer organizations, including the Sheltering Arms Foundation, which her mother Marnie helped to found, the Plymouth City Planning Commission, and several Episcopal churches. As a mother, sister, daughter, friend and spouse, Peggy was most interested in ensuring that those around her felt loved and cared for. Ultimately, this desire to care for others at the expense of caring for herself resulted in her passing, after struggling with addiction. We share this in an effort to reduce the stigma around mental health. Peggy was a lovely, witty and complex person who left her mark on many. Service 11 AM Saturday, January 9, 2016 followed by reception, ST. MARK'S EPISCOPAL CATHEDRAL, 519 Oak Grove Street, Minneapolis 55403 612-870-7800. Visitation 10 AM at the church.
