Raymond, Dawn C. (Warnke) Age 81, passed away peacefully on October 13, after a short stay in Methodist Hospital. Born in New Ulm, Minnesota, she was baptized and schooled at St. Paul's Lutheran church, she had a strong faith in Christ that guided her life. Dawn was a lifeguard at the community pool and Flandreau State Park. She attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. She married John K. Raymond in 1955. They moved to Excelsior, MN in 1957 where John took a teaching position at Minnetonka High School. Dawn operated the Carver General Store Antiques business in Carver, MN, and later was a partner in the Villager's Antiques and The Country Look In Antiques in Excelsior, where she was well known and involved in the business community. She and John were charter members of Faith Lutheran Church in Excelsior, where Dawn played piano at the weekly service. Dawn was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted wife and greatly loved her home and community. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Irene Warnke. She is survived by husband John; son Michael Raymond of Grand Marais, MN; daughter Molly Ruzicka (James) and two beloved grandchildren, Beck and Quinn of Prior Lake, MN. Funeral service Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 at 10:30 AM, Faith Lutheran Church, 7595 Minnewashta Pkwy, Excelsior 952-474-4966 (corner of Hwy 5 & Minnewashta Pkwy). A visitation will take place for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Reception following the service. Private interment in New Ulm.
