Hudgick, Marie L. (Masaryk) 92, of Mound, MN, formerly of Tucson, AZ and Binghamton, NY, passed away peacefully at Presbyterian Homes on Lake Minnetonka on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Hudgick Sr. with whom she shared 59 years of marriage prior to his death in 2007. Born in Holic, Czechoslovakia on July 11, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Stefania (Jonastik) Masaryk. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family. She is survived by her children Mary Ann Chegezy and her husband Nelson of Bethlehem, PA; JoAnn Hudgick and her partner, Mac Stringer of Sodus Point, NY; Joseph E. Hudgick, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; Barbara Hudgick-Matson, who lovingly cared for her the last 8 years, of Mound, MN; Theresa Cannady and her husband William of Rio Rancho, NM; and Jean Marie Foster of Jacksonville, NC; 12 grandchildren and several great-grand-children; a sister, Lena Tomanek of Binghamton, NY; sisters-in-law Patricia Masaryk and Shirley Masaryk; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen; brothers Frank, Rudolph and Richard. A special thank you to her caregivers at Presbyterian Homes and the Ridgeview Hospice Team. Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM on Friday, Sept, 18, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 2385 Commerce Blvd., Mound, MN. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.
