Judith Kay Keough, age 81 of Bloomington, Minnesota. Our beloved Judy died on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Born to parents Earl and Sally Findsen, she grew up in Richfield, Minnesota, with her three sisters, and spent her adult life as a resident of Bloomington, MN. Judy attended St. Richard's Catholic School as a child and is a graduate of Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield, where she enjoyed performing piano and organ recitals. Family was the center of her life as she raised her children, eventually welcoming their spouses into the fold, and reveling in the arrival of grandchildren and the joyous gift of a great-grandson. Judy's love of entertaining and her talents for organizing and planning events lead her to a successful and storied career in the Twin Cities hospitality industry. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, she was the catering director for the University of Minnesota Alumni Association on the 50th floor of the IDS building in downtown Minneapolis. She was eventually lured "across the river" to the University Club of St. Paul, where she worked as Director of Catering for 23 years, again planning weddings, parties and major corporate events, but now in the beautiful mansion on Summit Avenue. After retirement, Judy and her husband, Don, used their time and talents to serve The Church of St. Edward in Bloomington. They considered it their mission to volunteer as funeral lunch hospitality coordinators, plan parish events large and small, and prepare and serve food for Loaves and Fishes in the community. One of Judy's greatest joys was meeting the love of her life, Don Keough. They were married for 46 years until his death in 2022. Together, they shared their love of food, wine and adventure to travel annually to Palm Desert, CA, and Maui, as well as summer getaways to Gull Lake in Brainerd, MN with their kids and grandkids. Judy and Don enjoyed spending time socializing with wonderful friends from St. Edward's at monthly Dinner Club gatherings. Judy could not put a book down and enjoyed settling in at night with a glass of wine while getting caught up on old movies. We will miss gathering at her home for family dinners, backyard BBQs and large holiday feasts, especially her beef tenderloin on Christmas Eve. We find comfort that her place in heaven was ready and that she rests in the peace of Christ and His eternal glory. Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Edward, 9401 Nesbitt Ave. S., Bloomington, MN on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11:00 am, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be held later this spring at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Edward's Tegeder Fund and Unbound.org. Washburn-McReavy.com Werness Brothers 952-884-8145
