Hyland, Thomas age 87, of Robbinsdale, MN, passed away on April 30, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. Tom was the most loving husband and father a family could ask for. He married the love of his life, Barbara Plancon, 61 years ago after meeting her on a blind date. Barb was the center of his universe, and he was devoted to her until the end. They had 8 children, of whom he was very proud and bragged about often. He was a gentle soul who loved spending time with family, especially grandchildren, whom he babysat often. Tom also enjoyed making his famous banana bread, reading Vince Flynn books, playing football with his family on Thanksgiving and making trips to the casino, where he loved to listen to the music when he got a big win. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and children Michael (Katsuyo), Lisa (Tom) Kirscht, Lynn, Patrick (Vickie), Kevin (Tricia), Ann, Diana, and Kelly, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family want to thank Copperfield Hill and Brighton Hospice staff for outstanding care. Funeral TBD.
