Olson, Suzanne A. Age 80, of Stanchfield, MN passed away peacefully in her home overlooking the lake on March 20, 2024. Sue was born on October 10, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN to Bill and Rose (Becker) Hayes. She grew up in Fridley, MN attending high school and marrying her high school sweetheart, John J. Olson on May 16, 1964. They were married for nearly 60 years and raised three children in New Brighton, MN. Sue worked her entire career for Stylmark, Inc. retiring after 42 years. In 2006, upon retirement, Sue and Jay moved to their newly built home on Goose Lake where their family had enjoyed a cabin for many years. Every year they produced a bountiful garden on their extended property there. Sue was a master at making salsa, which she shared with family and friends. Sue and Jay were also active in their lake association. They stayed busy traveling to Florida every year and attending all their grandchildren's activities. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff of Allina Home Hospice, especially Lila, RN for all her excellent care. Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, Jay; children, Timothy (Carole) Olson, Cindy (Tate) Moser, and Scott Olson; grandchildren, Birk (Anna) Olson, Conner Olson, Anna Olson, Kaylee Moser, Kassie Moser, Kami Moser, and Kaden Moser; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Irene (Floyd) Mattson and brother, Chester. Memorial Mass 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 3rd at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave NW, New Brighton. Visitation is one hour prior at the church. There will be a luncheon following the service.
