Alexander, Thomas T. "Alex", "Tom" age 75, of SW Minneapolis, died at home on December 29, 2023.

Tom had a way of making kids giggle, women feel young and pretty, and men feel like valued friends. He navigated his way through life with kindness, humor, generosity, and those smilin' Irish eyes. If Tom was in your life, you knew you were blessed.

Tom served his country with honor and courage. He never forgot the Band of Brothers who served alongside him in Viet Nam. He was hoping to reunite with them this spring.

Much of Tom's career involved building, rebuilding, and remodeling, but his masterpiece was the home and garden he created for the woman he loved in the same neighborhood where they both grew up. Loving and giving were second nature to Tom. He loved his family, and he loved his friends. His generosity knew no bounds. He always tried to make people happy. We loved him deeply and will forever. He will be missed more than words could ever say.

Preceded in death by his father and mother, A.J. and Rosemary Alexander, his sister, Linda Fredrickson, her husband, Brad, and Tom's two best friends, Jim Bonfig and Dick Duggan.

Survived by his life partner, Jeanne Krause Kosek; sisters, Janie Alexander and Barb Barber (Jerry); brothers, Steve and Gary (Jan); sisters-in-law, Mary and Nancy Krause (Ezra); many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends.

Memorials preferred to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warrior Project. A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Friday, April 19 (his birthday), Visitation at 10 am; Service at 11 am at: Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996 5000 W 50th St. & Hwy 100
