Storaasli, Lila Theressa Lee died Aug 19, 2023. Born Sept 14, 1919 on a Ferryville WI dairy farm with 6 siblings, Lila graduated from Viroqua High School, attended Gale College & earned her RN at Fairview, Mpls. Singing in a Fairview Nurses-Luther Seminary Joint Choir, she met Olaf & married him in 1942. Lila's welcoming 1944-59 Saskatoon homes housed Seminary students/guests, as Olaf was Pastor & Seminary President. She served on Boards of Lutheran Nurses Guild, WMF & Lutheran Sunset Home's First Board. In 1960 she returned to St Paul & nursing at Fairview & Lyngblomsten. Lila's gracious hospitality included hosting students from Holland, Turkey & India. She loved summers at Lake Ottertail, sabbaticals (Edinburgh, Claremont, Rome, New Guinea & Richmond), co-led Holy land Tours & world travel. She loved Bible book groups, choir, opera, quilting & 63 years sharing God's love at SAPLC. Preceded in death by husband, Olaf; 5 siblings; sons-in-law, Francois Hutin and James Nestingen. Survived by children, Olaf (Barbara) Storaasli, Carolyn Nestingen, Faith Hutin (Arnold Rydman), Elizabeth Storaasli (Mark Knutson); 11 grandchildren & 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Edith Sandwick.
