Berquist, Richard Harlow Age 91. Died on May 2, 2023 in St. Paul. Professor emeritus of philosophy from the University of St. Thomas, with special interests in logic, biomedical ethics, and the philosophy of law. Author of From Human Dignity to Natural Law. Served as chair of the Bioethics Commission of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Preceded in death by his parents, Reno and Gertrude Berquist, and his brothers, Mark and Duane. Survived by his beloved wife, Dolores; sons, Tom (Polly) and David; daughter, Ann-Marie (Yves) Caro; grandchildren, Peter and Alec Berquist, and Christine and Pierre Caro. Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Friday, June 9 at the Church of St. Thomas More, 1079 Summit Ave., St. Paul. Visitation 5-8PM Thursday, June 8 at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul and also one hour prior to Mass at church. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul.
