Romano, Amardo J. "Marty" age 98, of Bloomington. Survived by loving wife of 71 years, Lorraine; children, Eileen Romano (Fred Mendenhall), Joanne Romano; grandchildren, Joanne Mendenhall, Rick Mendenhall, and Michele (Erik) Rettig; great-grandchild Jack Rettig; sisters, Angela Gualtieri and Rita Waldron. Marty was a preeminent civil engineer who designed the Lowry Tunnel and the Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge, and was VP of Edwards and Kelcey. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Smile Train. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Feb. 9, 11 a.m. at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 9401 Nesbitt Ave. S., Bloomington. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at the church.
