Hoiseth, Melbourne J. "Mel" Mel was born on February 25, 1922, in Georgeville, MN. He is survived by children, Barbara (Harold) Johnson, Savage, MN, and Jerome (Cathy) Hoiseth, Cape Coral, FL; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and wonderful friend, Marilyn Rueger. He was predeceased by his wife, Lorette; and brothers, Donald and Leslie. Mel served in the Navy during WWII then worked at the Post Office for 28 years. He was a volunteer at Fairview Hospital and logged in 17,000 hours. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 8th, at 11 AM at Atonement Lutheran Church, 601 E 98th St., Bloomington, MN. Visitation will be 10 AM-11 AM and interment will be at Ft. Snelling at 12:30 following service.
