Haglund, Anne-Lise 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Saint Therese at St. Odilia Hospice in Shoreview, MN. She was born on November 5, 1931 and came to the United States from Norway in 1953. She will be remembered for so many of her amazing qualities, including her immense generosity, inspiring strength and giving spirit. She will also be remembered for her incredible sense of fashion and of course, her famous Christmas cookies. Anne-Lise was a devoted caregiver to her family members and friends, as well as a dedicated mother to her kids and her pets, who were also like children to her. Her favorite role of all was as "nana" to her grandchildren. Aside from her love for her family, she also delighted in baking and gardening and always had her nose in a book. Church was close to her heart, as she was a longstanding member of Nativity Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Saint Anthony Chapter of Eastern Star, as well as the Suburban Hills Woman's Club. Anne-Lise was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, John; son-in-law, Malvin; grandsons Stein and Chris; and significant other, Ron Nelson. She is survived by her daughter Grete; son, Ron (Annie); grandchildren, Shawn, Magne and Elisabet; great grandchildren Stein André and Stine Malene and cousin, Gerd Oxaas. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Anne-Lise's name. A graveside service will take place Friday, January 15 at 11:30 AM at HIllside Cemetery.
